PostSubject: Tank methods   Wed Sep 16, 2009 9:11 pm

so, i decided to make a thread so people can see that there are many ways to effectivly keep a reef aquarium.

My tank: 10g
my filtration: Live rock & live sand
Waterflow: knockoff maxi-jet 600
lighting: 2x 100w 65k kelvin bulbs from walmart($1 each) and 1x 420 actinic
water changes: daily. 3-5 cups. (4x30=120 and my tank holds 128 cups which puts me at just under full volume water change every month)
dosing: i add 1/4 of a tsp of purple up and 1tsp fighting plankton every 3 days to my tank.
stock: several colonies of zoanthid and palythoa. growing calurpa and chaeto quite nicely.
hermits and snails. i just added a starry blenny.
i have also had leathers and a kenya tree(they were eaten by my CCstarfish)

please feel free to copy the above information, and paste it w/ you own tank details.
thank you.
